Join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Niseko and support international visitors from around the world.
Located in one of Japan’s leading ski destinations, Niseko Wellness Centre (NWC) and Niseko International Clinic (NIC) provide integrated physiotherapy and medical care throughout the year. Our team works closely together in a fast-paced international environment managing acute snowsport injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, rehabilitation, and general outpatient care.
We are seeking confident, adaptable, and team-oriented physiotherapists who enjoy working in dynamic clinical settings and supporting active international patients for the 26/27 winter season.
Position Details
Position: Seasonal Physiotherapist
Employment Period: End of November 2026 – Early March 2027
Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan
Hours: Approximately 35–40 hours per week
Schedule: Up to 8 hours per day / 2 days off per week
Main Responsibilities
Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation
Provide physiotherapy services at Niseko Wellness Centre, including:
- Injury assessment and rehabilitation
- Management of acute musculoskeletal and snowsport injuries
- Support injury recovery, return-to-sport planning, and patient education
- Manual therapy, cryotherapy, and electrotherapy
- Taping, brace fitting, and compression application
- Exercise rehabilitation and gait retraining
Clinical Support & Patient Care
- Assist doctors and nurses within Niseko International Clinic when required
- Support patients with mobility assistance, crutches, and general recovery guidance
- Coordinate physiotherapy referrals and appointments from NIC to NWC
- Maintain accurate patient notes and treatment documentation
- Assist with patient reception, scheduling, payments, and rebooking appointments
- Support day-to-day clinic operations and maintain professional, clean, and organised treatment environments
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimise patient outcomes
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapy, or Athletic Training from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical MSK physiotherapy experience
- Strong manual therapy and rehabilitation skills
- Experience working with acute injuries in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required
- Available for the full winter season (December–March)
- Eligible to legally work in Japan during the employment period
Highly Regarded (but not essential)
- Experience managing ski/snowboard or sports-related injuries
- Experience in acute trauma or emergency clinical settings
- Sports concussion management experience
- Experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare environments
- Experience working with international patients or athletes
- Additional language skills

Niseko International Clinic is located in the heart of Niseko, one of Japan’s leading international ski destinations. Operating year-round, NIC provides comprehensive medical care for both local residents and visitors, with a strong focus on emergency medicine, sports injuries, and general outpatient care.
Our multilingual team of doctors, nurses, and support staff are experienced in caring for patients from around the world in a fast-paced international environment. During the winter season, we regularly treat acute snowsport injuries, respiratory illnesses, infections, and other common travel-related medical concerns.
NIC is equipped with on-site X-ray, laboratory testing, and minor procedure capabilities, and works closely with local hospitals and specialists when advanced care is required.

About Niseko Wellness Center (NWC)
Located directly opposite Niseko International Clinic, Niseko Wellness Center works closely with the NIC team to provide integrated physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.
NWC supports both local residents and international visitors, with a particular focus on injury recovery, musculoskeletal treatment, and performance support for active individuals and snowsport participants.
Our certified therapists deal predominantly with the acute management of patients visiting the region by providing personalised treatment programs to restore movement, reduce pain, and support safe travel to their home country by focusing on preventing further injury and long-term recovery.
