At Niseko International Clinic, we are NOT able to provide testing for coronavirus and are NOT adequately equipped to isolate cases, or protect other patients.

If you do present with suspicious symptoms to Niseko International Clinic, you will be turned away at reception and referred to Kutchan Kosei Hospital. Patients with more mild symptoms will NOT be seen. You do not need to see a doctor unless the consultation centre make this recommendation.
You can buy cold medicines like paracetamol (tylenol), ibuprofen, and carbocysteine (to stop mucous) over the counter at the pharmacy.

For the protection of staff and other patients, please do NOT present to our clinic to seek screening for coronavirus.

Our "Fit to fly health certificate"

For those who needs “Fit to fly health certificate”, please tell us exactly what to mention or bring us provided specific forms.


We provide a general consultation and the document for JPY 9,350 (tax included).

In Japan PCR testing is provided to persons only who have contacted with carriers or have severe symptoms so that we are not able to provide the test.

Rapid norovirus and rotavirus testing is now available!

The test takes only 15 minutes. Norovirus is the major cause of viral gastroenteritis and is highly contagious. Most patients recover spontaneously in 2 to 3 days, but for personnel working in the food industry such as hotel kitchens, infection may pose a public health risk.

The cost for the test is covered by Japanese health insurance when the condition falls under the following conditions:

  1. Age < 3 years old

  2. Age ≧ 65 years old

  3. Cancer patients

  4. Post organ-transplant patients

  5. Patients on cancer chemotherapy or immunosuppressant medications

The cost for the test is JPY 3,500 (before tax) for those who do not qualify for under the above conditions.
