Position: Physiotherapist – Winter Season 2025–2026
Location: Niseko, Japan
Contract Duration: December 2025 – March 2026
Hours: 35–40 hours per week
About Us:
Niseko Wellness Centre (NWC) and Niseko International Clinic (NIC) provide high-quality physiotherapy and medical services to international visitors and local residents in one of Japan’s premier winter resort destinations. We specialize in managing acute ski/snowboard injuries, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and integrated patient care in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physiotherapy services at NWC, including:
・Injury assessment and rehabilitation
・Cryotherapy, electrotherapy, manual therapy
・Taping, gait retraining, and therapeutic exercise - Provide on-site support at NIC:
・Brace fitting, taping, splint/compression application
・Assisting nurses and physicians with patient mobility and travel-related advice - Coordinate physiotherapy appointments and referrals from NIC
- Perform administrative tasks:
・Patient check-in/out, note-taking, payments, rebooking - Support daily operations at NWC including cleaning, gym sign-ups, and facility upkeep
- Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapy, or Athletic Training from an accredited institution
- 3+ years clinical experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Experience in sports injury management and rehabilitation preferred
- Background in acute trauma or ski/snowboard injuries is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with the ability to also work independently
- Eligible for a Working Holiday Visa in Japan (mandatory)
