Niseko Wellness Centre (NWC) by NIC are currently looking for highly motivated physiotherapists to join our team for the winter season 2024-2025. To be considered for the position, you must have a physiotherapy degree or equivalent, an international driver’s license and working holiday visa. Ideally, you have more than 3 years of post-graduate experience and a strong background in acute musculoskeletal, orthopaedic conditions and rehabilitation, in particular ski/snowboard related injuries. English speaking background is essential and conversational Japanese and/or Mandarin/Cantonese is a bonus. Competency in computer skills, software applications and use of practice management software is mandatory.
In addition to your clinical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are necessary. Building strong and quick rapport with patients is a key part of the role. You are expected to work well in a team to effectively provide a seamless and effective plan of care. In addition, you can work independently with your own caseload without supervision, conduct appropriate treatment, developing exercise programs, and completing concise patient documentation. We expect that you are respectful and culturally sensitive as you will encounter international patients as well as local Japanese people.
